In 2011, China¡¯ service outsourcing increased rapidly and Chinese firms have signed service outsourcing contracts worth more than 32 billion U.S. dollars, rising 63.6 percent year on year. In 2011, China gained 23 percent of the world¡¯s service outsourcing market, increasing 6.3 percent from a year earlier, expanding its international market share.
The United States, Europe and Japan are the main targets of China¡¯s service outsourcing. In 2011, China undertook offshore outsourcing contracts worth 16.4 billion, accounting for 68.9 percent of the total amount of China¡¯s offshore outsourcing contracts.
Medium-sized enterprises are the main force in service outsourcing business. Though these enterprises receiving service outsourcing only account for 2.9 percent in the amount of China¡¯s enterprises, they account for 51.2 percent in the total offshore delivery.
