LCCI Global Examinations Criteria and Evaluation Standard

Examination Level: Most of the course is divided into 3 levels-Level 1 is equivalent to primary level, level 2 intermediate level and level 3 advanced level. Part of the course is divided into 4 levels. At present in China, we have nearly 45 courses with 4 levels.

Examination Type: All other subjects are designed for written examination except English for Business and Text Production. The text paper generally contains 6-8 essay questions. Candidates can deal with them according to their own habits not to the designed order.

Examination Duration: According to different levels, examination duration is set as 2 hours, 2 hours and 30 minutes, 3 hours, 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Examination Papers: The papers are sent by the British headquarters to the Chinese Ministry of Education Examination Center at the overseas examination and then to the identified examination centers around China. Within 2 hours after the examination, centers should send back papers to Chinese Ministry of Education Examination Center and then to the LCCI London headquarters at a set time. Papers are scored by LCCI London headquarters and the results will be released 9 weeks after the published finishing time for the examination. Candidates may query results and get the original certificate from the local exam centers.

Examination Results: It is graded as Pass with Distinction, Pass with Credit, Pass and Fail. Candidates who pass the examination will get the relevant certificates and who don’t pass just get a statement of results. The statement of results and certificates for series examinations will be sent by EDI to center candidates 9 weeks after the published finishing time for the examination. The statement of results and certificates for On Demand examinations will be sent by EDI to center candidates 6 weeks after the published finishing time for the examination. The certificates are valid for lifetime.
